Dream of Nine Farms

When God speaks to us in dreams, He can, among many other things, give us insight into a present situation. The following is a dream that I had recently:

I was standing on a path that ran between adjacent farms. The path was well defined and had been established a long time ago.

The scene was beautiful with its flowing hills and valleys.

Each farm had the same amount of land and I counted eight farms. There was a row of four farms to my right and four to my left. The appearance of each farm was different from the others.

When looked around and my eyes were drawn specifically to two farms on the left and two on the right.

The first farm I looked at had a very small, old, one-story house. The wheat that grew on that farm was cut to a height of about four feet. The boundaries of this farm were immaculately maintained so that they were perfectly straight and in order. The man and wife that lived there were outside and appeared to be in their eighties. Their skin had the color and texture of leather as a result of their many years of toil in the sun. They both kept a suspicious and watchful gaze that was directed at me.

The second farm had an area for wheat and an area for trees. One tree was extremely tall, so tall that it could be seen from great distances away. The tree had a very thick trunk and thick branches. Other but smaller trees surrounded the large tree. The leaves of all the trees were green and lush. The wheat looked unkempt. The house was almost totally engulfed by the large tree.

The third farm had mostly bushes and a small area of wheat. Climbing woody vines had grown and entwined in the bushes and weeds were everywhere. The house was very large, old, and in disrepair. The bushes obstructed most of the view to and from the house.

Then my eyes fixed on the fourth farm. It grew only wheat and the wheat was tall, healthy, and well cared for. The house was a plain-looking, typical farm house, but in excellent condition. I felt in my spirit that this farm was “right”. There was something very warm and inviting about it. Joy filled my heart. I was given knowledge that I had worked at that farm earlier that day and that it was time to return.

I was immediately translated to inside the house. I was standing in the large kitchen facing a man who was standing on the other side of a long table. He was tall, handsome, gentle, strong, and spoke with great authority, understanding, and compassion. I was given knowledge that he was not the owner of the farm, but that he worked for the owner.

[At this point forward, I had a conversation with the man that was about me and the work that I had completed and the additional work that I was to do for the rest of the day.]

INTERPRETATION:

Each farm represents a belief-system or type of church. Each house on the farm represents where the leaders of each belief-system “live” in their relationship with the Lord. The growth on the farm represent the fruit, or kind of people, produced by their particular beliefs.

The first farm that had trimmed wheat and that immaculate, straight, and in order represents the spiritual leaders that place appearance before man and their own perspective of perfection above the natural spiritual growth of their people. By their strict rules and religious doctrines, they prevent the people from growing to their full potential and purpose. These leaders are suspicious of outsiders and in their efforts to control others, they have toiled under the Son.

The farm that had an area for wheat and an area for trees represents those that have a charismatic leader who surrounds himself only with leaders that will never disagree with him and that will support even if he strays from God's will. This leader is symbolized by the tallest tree and his goal is to be seen by many people and to be above the people. Respect and adoration from the people have made him and his leaders rich and full of life, life from this earth. And their roots extend into the areas of the wheat and rob the wheat of the nourishment that is rightfully theirs.

The farm that grew mostly bushes and vines represents the doctrines that have been invaded and choked by the wisdom of man and doctrines of devils. The old house that was hard-to-see represent those leaders that prefer to be hidden from the Truth and they hinder others from seeing the Truth. This farm made no effort to control the growth of evil and allowed the wheat to be overtaken.

The farm that grew only wheat and was well-cared for and maintained represents the belief-system of those Christians that have love for their Lord and for one another. The wheat is encouraged to grow and grow to its fullest potential. There were no man-made controlling factors. There was no one man that was exalted above all others. And evil was not tolerated nor allowed to grow there.

The man I spoke with was a powerful angel. He was the overseer and a messenger from the Master. The house, simple, yet well-maintained, does not call attention to itself because there is only One Who is to receive glory and praise. This was the only farm that greatly pleased the Creator of all the land.

There are no walls or fences between the farms because all eight of the farms were on the one large farm.

Men wanted to create the smaller farms and grow whatever they wanted and the fashion they preferred. The Owner of the land allowed them to pursue their own will even though He created His farm to produce only wheat.

It is my prayer for you that Father will continue to help you to hear His voice, and more and more frequently.
